Nvidia drivers

Post by BostonJohnny1226 »

I have a GTX1070 with 8gb vram in my laptop and have the settings pretty much maxed. Its played on a steady 75fps.
I updated the driver to the most recent 391.24 and the fps fluctuate constantly.
Does anyone know of a good set of drivers? Sometimes the latest isnt the greatest IMO.

I had the same problem with 391.x (forget which one exactly) and went back to 388, too. Steady now.

So i went back to 388.71 and all is well.
Found some info on Nvidia's forum:
I just updated Windows before updating my card and it seems Windows likes to turn on EVERYTHING in the Gaming setting like the gamebar, GameDVR and so on. You can go into settings and then gaming. It seems my gaming were being recorded at times causing problems.
I havent had any problems since making these changes.
Hope this helps

I'm running the latest NVIDIA drivers with no problems on a 1050ti. I'd try the above post and see if that helps because there are some cool features they're adding
