April Win 10 Update - Game Freezes

Windows 10 64bit April update, and now my game freezes all the time, I still have mouse and KB control, but I can’t Alt-tab to the desktop to close the game or use the task manger to kill it. Once it freezes my only fix, is to Ctrl-alt-del, and log out of windows, and back in. I game in FS17 almost every day, and firs time my game ever froze like this was right after the big April Windows update. MY system is high-end, liquid cooled, FS17 doesn’t’ even make it work hard.

1. No changes to system, it doesn’t matter if I am running vanilla Goldcrest Valley, mods, or 3rd party maps, it now happens in all instances.
2. No AV running.
3. I did a stress test on my system for an hour with no issues and ran Mem test with no issues. I can play other games like Battlefield One with no problems.

There are actually known issue with the Timeline Update in Windows 10. Explorer Crashes, Freezes etc.
You can try to disable that Feature (google for it)

So are you saying its Windows Explorer causing my FS17 to Freeze, I have no issues when on my desktop. I guess I could kill windows explorer, and run FS17 with it shut down, and see if that fixes it. Worst Windows update system ever, system has totally gone downhill, Bill wake up, and get your management to hire someone that knows what they are doing.

No don't kill windows explorer, it loads a ton of the UI things you'll need. What I'd recommend is going to settings and looking for a roll back option, that will let you go back to the last version of windows
