Question about bugged fields?

If I suspect I have a bugged field that may be causing helper difficulties, will erasing the field and recreating it with the roller and plow tools work to fix that?

I have always found that using a plow and changing it to allow create fields and doing the troublesome areas nearly always fixes any problems with helpers, sometimes it's best to do the whol e field but don't go right to the edge.
