Anybody know what the chopped straw is used for? Biomass?
I'd be seriously worried driving that forager, enough of them catch fire whilst picking up grass!

I believe the reason they're doing it here is because it got rained on so it wasn't worth baling.

hey, i am from belgium/holland area, here we grow chickens for consumption, and the sheds were they keep them is one open floor. These chickens are harvested around 20 weeks. If the farmer has at that moment straw available, they pick it up like this! Note that the trailer is a forage wagon, so they can spread it up on the floor directly. It saves the work of making , storing bales. I used to help when the chickens got ''harvested''
