I did that while beet harvesting. Mission took an hour and a half to complete. I was zigzagging all over the field.

When it did it glitched the speedo to over 500 mph on the test track back straight.

I have the best real life sleep story. A highschool kid was working for the farm and the boss had him on a John Deere 9630 with a 64 ft sweep, on the only field with an irigation ditch at the end of it. We also have gps driving that tractor. So he falls asleep a lets the thing go in to the 20 ft deep ditch and slept through the whole thing and plowed 100 feet of the ditch

U regularly spent fall afternoons sleeping in the combine as a kid lol. I don't have much trouble with it in fs cause I work nights and I play on nights I'm home. Have to take pills to sleep when it's late enough sadly

The kid still worked for us a couple weeks longer till he went to college but that tractor is really messed up now. We are about ready to trade it in because it has a streched out center section and its pushing 5000 hours on a 6 year old tractor

So he messed it up, did he have to pay for it? How much of the damage was caused by him going into the ditch?

I'm not sure if he can pay any of it. He is a student at the end. Those kinds of risks are usually on the employee to take them or not. I hope it won't be way too much of a loss for you Carter

All the damage was on parts that needed replaced but everyone understands there that stuff happens unless you total a tractor in that case the person that broke it is gonna fix it.

PS I am still looking for that picture of the tractor in the ditch
