Re: A little competition i put together for fun
oh my.. u put on quite the show to prove me wrong.. but I still don't think u have.. in 10 minutes u were able to gather about 22 trees with the 3 pt tipper and the jcb tractor.. I'm absolutely confident I could match that number using the tracked mf and the skidder attachment without staging the the trees.. I could drop them and debranch them but otherwise collect them from where they fell.. ive never had the problems u were having using the crawlers.. but then again I don't haul so many full length trees either.. if I'm hauling more than one I have them cut into sections and if I'm hauling full trees then I only haul 1 or 2 depending on the terrain.. also.. its only 600kg but putting the weight on the front of the massey makes a lot of difference.. in the end it may very well boil down to different styles.. I am used to using a smaller tractor with the skidder as where u r more practiced at using a larger tractor with the tipper.. either way good show
Re: A little competition i put together for fun
I thought you would like that I use both attachments they both work good for me I always wanted to see what was faster both are great tools never took very long to stage the trees using the wheeled loader to bunch them in hold them in the bale grabber and cut the trees off the stump then carry the tree where I want it and drop it and both videos are the same length in time but every buddy has their own way this is my way of doing it in the end thear really isn't a wrong way of doing it like I said I use both attachments and they work good

fair enough.. as for staging I usually use a dozer just to push them into a huge pile.. also I noticed the log fork u were using.. it works well but have u used the big one in the csz set? it doesn't work well for moving individual logs but its pretty awesome for grabbing handfuls at a time.. and the collisions r really perfect for being able to get them under the logs as long as u have something to push off of like your fence posts (that's what I did with them too lol)
Re: A little competition i put together for fun
Thanks I will try it out thanks for the information

oh yea.. if I came across as rude at any time I didn't mean it.. I know I'm a brat here on the forum sometimes but this was not one of those times I promise lol.. and it has been nice seeing your setup.. honestly before I watched your video I hadn't really thought to use the 3pt tipper as a skidder

alright have fun with your "staging", I'll stick to my skid steer, can pick'em up right where they land, then straight into the trailer, anyways "to each their own"
