According to wikipedia the first cooperatives were from in the 1500's as a group of people decided to pool their monies/goods together to create a larger buying/selling group. That has transformed today into cooperatives that sell/buy everything from electricity to seed/fuel/tractors, & equipment. In the 1930's Cockshutt tractor; a Canadian company I think; sold tractors in the midwest United States thru a farm cooperative. Farm cooperatives today provide the buying power to get discounts on just about everything. The one I know the most about is Farm Bureau. That knowledge is from the mid 1960's though, and they were the company that my dad bought most of the farm stuff thru. including fuel, fertilizer, seed, implements, fencing and livestock(mostly chick, and ducklings).

Wow. 340HP for that truck is a lot of power. The load may be heavy though.
