No problem. You'll definitely notice a difference, it's gonna look a lot better

You should consider that jumping up from 720P to 1080P will require more hp from your graphics card.
Your GT1030 would probably be enough but you will get FPS drops in every game. May be not below 30fps but it won't be the same as 720P.

On the other hand, as an IT guy, I would never recommend to go for a brand that doesn't manufacture monitors on it's own, like HP, Dell, Asus, etc.
As far as I know there are only 4 major panel manufacturers in the World being Samsung, LG, Philips and Toshiba. I'm not sure though.
But I think you get the idea. Between those, they are really very close and the image quality you get depends on the price you pay.
Philips has more sort of natural colors while Samsung and LG has boosted contrast hence more vibrant colors which I think more artificial for my taste.
I always buy Philips. Monitor or TV. I made the mistake of trying out an Asus and really regreted it too much.

What was wrong with the Asus monitor that you regretted it?

It looks like the pixels on the panel itself are a bit bigger than a standard size and that creates a pixelated effect.
But it is not that much noticeable in game or in videos. It is noticeable at some times but can't tell specifically when.
I'm also not sure if this is a "thing" for every Asus monitor. May be it is just mine. Didn't change it though. Still using because I paid a lot back then.
Besides, although it is a LED panel, maximum brightness is a bit too dim for my taste.

I've got an Asus monitor, so does my mom, and we both like them. I mainly recommended it just because it had higher specs. But you're correct, that card might not do as well at 1080p. However, it was better than my old card and I could play most games at 1080p and medium settings at almost 60fps.

I've found a video on youtube where a fella changes things with Nvidia inspector for better fps in ats and ETS, I've done it but don't see a huge difference, clocks and stuff are sharper on the dash but I'm guessing my monitor isn't showing it as good as it can look.

It's interesting but if you look at the screenshot he had linked in the description there is slightly different settings tweaked than what's in the video so I suppose it's mostly trial and error.

You know maybe he wouldn't have as much of a performance hit if he closed all those unnecessary windows while he plays  anyways, thanks for the video. I may play with the settings some
