Re: ETS 2
Have both of them. But not played any for quite some time. Really hoped that it would get converted for console. But looks like they have no interest in porting it. Would be a good multiplayer game on console if they allowed the "company" to work as one. More people doing more jobs brings in more revenue. Would be an interesting thing to see for definite but like I said scs said they have no plans of porting it for now as they are still developing all the ATS map for PC

Re: ETS 2
I have both ETS2 and ATS.
I wish the developers worked quicker, especially on ATS which is already kind of an old game and they only just have the first proper map DLC out now, and no new trucks etc.
ETS2 is probably better if you don't mind Euro roads. It has way more trucks, larger map and better mods. I picked it up in a Steam sale too so it only cost a few dollars with a lot of the DLCs.

Re: ETS 2
I have seen ETS2 on sale for the price of a cup of coffee (fancy coffee, but still). And it should be noted that SCS does not make you buy updates, the way GIANTS does. There have been significant updates since the game came out in 2013, but they did not sell them as ETS2-2015, ETS2-2017.
I love ATS and I have actually gotten Déjà vu in game, when driving a road I have been on in real life. But I also love driving European trucks on European roads. It is virtual sightseeing. And I have learned a lot about European heavy equipment.
And there are a bazillion mods for both games. And doing your own custom skin is pretty easy, and a good place to learn modding. 3D modding, I think is easier in GIANTS, but others will disagree.

Re: ETS 2
Yes for both ETS 2 and ATS. They have steam workshop which I find is really convenient for mods. I wish the MP was able to be used for private servers, though.
Re: ETS 2
Funny you should ask this, I bought it last weekend after following squirrel on Youtube for quite some time, Think it will keep my attention for a while and with the modding community like here on FS17 there are some awesome map updates and all sorts. ETS2 though.
Re: ETS 2
I've bought ETS2 for my laptop which has a Radeon HD5450 GPU in it.
I've 2 problems.
1) This game has zero graphic optimisation. Even on medium settings I drop down to 15fps at the city centers. So stupid. I think thats because of the game engine being too old. Because that GPU was able to make me play portal 2, dishonered, left for dead, etc. on high settings.
2) I've somewhat managed to connect my DS4 to my PC and steam thankfully recognized it. However, as the game itself tries to see my controller as an XB 360 controller, I can't assign keys to different buttons. Or may be I'm doing something wrong. Can anybody give me some tips and tricks on this one?
Btw, I've remembered why I've left PC gaming. All those stupid settings going on and on for pages. And trying to find that sweet spot in those settings for getting optimal performance from the GPU. Just so unnecessary in the presence of consoles.

When you start up the game go into settings then select controllers. Click each option you want to change with the left mouse button. Press the controller button you want assigned to it and then save it.
