Railway empire

Post by eric21 »

Railway empire will come out for ps4 and pc next month, you start in the US when railways have just started a revolution, it involves the steam engines and you can build your company to the biggest in the US and build tunnels bridges and plan your train routes.

It does have cartoony characters I guess aimed at kids but what I've seen it looks good

Didn't know it was for xbox one too.

It's a railway builder, not like train simulator but more like the old transportation games like transport fever etc

This sounds good! I used to play Sid Meier's Railroads on PC and enjoyed it. I always tried to keep the tracks fairly straight and realistic looking and liked to try and make passing sidings instead of having double tracks everywhere. I'll have to look for some videos of this new game. Is it already out on PC?

Comes out next month, there's a few beta reviews on youtube. I don't like the cartoon characters, just takes a bit of realism away.

I just watched a few videos, looks a lot like the old Railroads game. I think I'm gonna like it, can't wait!

Shoot! I think I'll have to try it out. There was a proper train simulator that was supposed to come out on xbox but I think it got canned.
FS22 is the best one yet. Fight me!

It's been shelfed for now but dovetail are still hoping to Brigg it to console eventually. I hope they do as I bout train simulator when it was railworks and really enjoyed it but with the updates since ts 2016 I've not been able to run it, with the new game engine etc I have to have all settings in low and kinda takes away the enjoyment of the game

I've look at Raptors game play and so for it looks good. There's 5 different maps in the US or 6 I think. The train modeling is very good, when you are close up to the train you can see the Pistons moving, the smoke, each train has its own sound and you can use the horn.

What I like is when you enter a tunnel the light beam comes on so you can see in the tunnel. There's buffalo roaming, native Indian villages, the weather and cloud detail is very good.
