What cars do you own at home?

Post by SimulatedSphere »

I own many :

Audi A6 2012 3.0 tdi (auto) , a beast of a car,

Peugeot 307 1.4 petrol 2004 (manual) , idiotic if you ask me

Nissan Stagea 2.5 petrol 1996 dayz rsfour (semi-automatic), a boss of a car and very collectible

Scrapped

Audi A4 1.9 tdi 2004 (manual) , a bulletproof engine with 217000 miles. She was crashed into but still worked like new but due to the milage it was scrapped. :frown:

I bought a new Ford Fiesta ST-line 2 weeks ago :) A 3 cylinder, 1 liter turbo engine, 125bhp and a 6 speed gearbox.

I always owned somewhat older cars, so a brand new one is world of difference...

I have a 2.0 cdti Vauxhall Zafira Tourer elite 170bhp family wagon, a 2000 Seat Toledo 1.9tdi 110bhp with 256000 miles on the clock for bombing about in, a Transit Custom works van and my pride and joy 1992 Vauxhall Nova which I'm currently restoring and squeezing a 1.6 into. There's also an Astra donor car in the corner of the shed but it's going for scrap as soon as I get all the bits off it.

Land Rover Defender. 2.5, 5 cylinder diesel.......it’s got a variable vein turbo, full width intercooler, uprated fuel pump/injector pump, silicone hoses, ported/polished head, ECU remap and 3” stainless (straight through) exhaust..... running around 200bhp.

Oh yeah our a6 is currently broken and has been like that since last July. It went into limp mode ( the car loses some power) and that was a few days before we went on a ferry which was 100miles away. We had 3 fake injectors done but then they were replaced with used original injectors and a used audi ecu and a new fuel filter and ... It still isn't fixed. Audi are saying it's the gearbox , take in mind that we have the quattro system and the s Tronic system which makes it all the more expensive . But when it's fixed , we can enjoy it's 0-60 mph in 6.3 secondsπŸ™„πŸ€“πŸ˜›

I've had two extremes at the same time.
Land Rover Series IIA from 1966 which worked its way through 3 chassis, 6 axles, 3 engines, two gearboxes, and sundry other bits.. The last job I did was a new bulkhead, By the time I was forced to give it up, all I had left was the bonnet, the roof and 1 piece of windscreen glass. However, the toys included an x9 superwinch, a cab roll cage, bucket seats, an overdrive, a stage three cylinder head and SU carb, high strength rear axle drive shafts and detroit locker in the back end. It also had a coil suspension conversion on a galvanised chassis with HD 110 front axle and the beefed up rear, and they all sat on custom offroad wheels.

My Mum said I'd never have any money whilst I owned it.. But that didn't stop me getting a Ginetta G20 roadster. The Landy had about 50hp per tonne, the Ginnie had almost 300

Then I found myself needing a mortgage and they both had to go.. So now I have a 1.2L 4x4 Panda which gives easily twice the mpg of the Landy in comfort and can be used all year round unlike the Ginnie that didn't even like wet roads ( wheelspin in 3rd :wink3: )
