Post by BreadedVirus »

Pretty sure this has been asked before, but here goes....

Will a future version of Farming Simulator have the GPS system incorporated into the base game?

I think they could make their own GPS, but like fenix said not this time around, im thinking we will see dynamic terrain in the next game too.

I wonder if Giants have a legit reasoning for it.
Almost every new tractor comes with gps or can retro fitted with it.
So, whats the point of keeping it out?
The real thing is, there is probably a good reason for it but as they don't share it with us we make our stroy of it.
And this is true for almost anything which Giants doesn't share legit information.

I've said it a lot on here but it really wouldn't be hard for them to implement a very basic version of GPS. It would basically be a "drive in a straight line" feature not unlike the hired workers already use except the player would still be in charge of the tractor and have to stay in it. FS2011's hired worker would go in whatever direction you were pointed in so a toggle between the 8 directions we have or a "free" direction would be nice.

I have to resort to hiring a worker to use GPS now and then make the turns at the headlands myself when I want straight lines.

A razor with GPS... would be awkward having your arm/hand forced into a direction unable to move away from it. Although, straightest shave ever! lol
