GTX 1070 Ti vs FS19 in 1440p

Post by Maikello »

In two or three days I will have a new graphics card GTX 1070 Ti. Now I play in FHD but I'm thinking about 2560 x 1440 (WQHD). My current card is too weak for a resolution higher than 1080p. Anyway, my current PC specification:
Intel i5 9600k
ASRock Z370 Taichi
Corsair VENGEANCE LPX 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4 3200MHz
GTX 1060 3G

I want to buy a new monitor and I have 2 models:
AOC AGON AG272FCX 1920x1080 144Hz
or 1440p
AG322QC4

What is the performance of this card at 1440p? Maybe it's better to stay at 1080p? Can you recommend other monitors (1080p & 1440p, Hz refresh dsnt matter because of vsync) similar to those above (400-500$)?
I found a benchmark but only such a static one

I'm running the GTX1070 TI ROG edition and it works perfect with the game at full resolution, Ultra (very high) setting.

It is paired with a Ryzen 2700X.

GPU is Overcloacked, but even with default clock, it works perfect. That's a beast of a card !

Juging by the video, the 1070 is doing fine, It would have been fun to see the 1% low fps. My 10606gb dual oc, isent doing that great @1080 but i use Vsync and dont really have any problems, i just have a 60hz monitor anyways. Im looking to upgrade down the line too, but ive found that, atleast here, 1070 are kind of going out, i mean, they arent made anymore.. And price wise im better off with a asus rtx2070 dual oc. But i need atleast a new psu, 500w atm.. Im using a r7 1700, which is still kind of the best bang for buck ryzen prosseor, less than 200usd, with cooler. The downside beeing that i cant get above 2933mhz ram speed with the cpu/motherboard combo.. and i have 2400mhz ram now, som i could get up to a 15% increasie in fps just by upgrading ram.. And i need a new monitor as im having a dvi one now,.. But really 1440 seems to be the Sweet spot if you can afford it, if not you are better of staying at 1080@144hz

1070 will be refreshed like 1060 with GDDR5X memory. It's just a leak, but ... why only 1060? Intel also needs to start doing something because AMD's advantage in sales is increasing.

There is nothing complicated in this benchmark. Large machines, working lights, close to the city and these results would look completely different.I remember that FS15 had its own benchmark.

I think it's better to stay at 1080p but choose a curved monitor with 32' (minimum) and they are not expensive at all
