I just had to post this. I love it. In 1934 it was the Allis Chalmers Model U. The record setting speed of 65.45 miles per hour was set by Ab Jenkins, a speed record that went unchallenged for 81 years.

Wow! I can't imagine going that fast with the steering and brake design back then. We had a Minneapolis Moline U, with a full chopper box you had to stand on both brake pedals with all your weight to stop when going downhill.....did love the hand clutch on that tractor though!
