Pretty sure the answer is "no" but, is there a benefits / difference between these two types of transport, other than having stats on "world of truck".
I'm playing ATS since day 1 and I've been always ask myself.
To keep this topic going, because I think the answer will come soon...what's your company looks like?

My fleet consists of mostly Pete and Kenworths. There is no uniform configuration for the trucks. Typically, they have CAT engines and either Eaton 13 speeds or 18 speeds. I typically do heavy-haul jobs. My drivers tend to haul more van trailers and reefers. If I get a chance next time I play, I'll try to get a few screenshots of my trucks. I also play the game without mods.
