Guilty on both counts. Christy Moore, The Dubliners (including Luke Kelly's solo stuff) Paddy Reilly, The High Kings, the Irish Rovers and Seo Linn just to name some of my favorites. I also listen to a bit of the UCD Choral Scholars. The last one there is how I discovered "Mo Ghille Mear."

Can't argue with any of you're choices, come here have you listened to any of Ritchie Kavanagh's songs, the man has a few classics let me tell ya ha, I've found myself listening to The Pogues a lot lately, Shane McGowan was one gem of a song writer back in his day, it's an awfull pity what the drink an drugs done to the man, shame really because he was one of the best.

Have not listened to Ritchie Kavanagh, but I'll definitely check him out.

Thinking about taking up the tin whistle.

Just got to remember not to put tobacco in it.

Anyway back to the tin whistle, I learned to play one in primary school, although if you asked me to play one now, I'd be fairly out of tune I'd say. Lol

If I may, I'd like to share a riddle I heard...

What goes up the road and down the road, over the road and back the road, never touches no part of the road to town?
