[READ] new fields

I am having an issue with my new created fields reverting back to original state after I plant new crops. I have noticed that this started happening after I downloaded the Repair Vehicle mod.

We need more info on this: Can you please post your log file and check again if this happens as well when yoou have no mods installed at all? Thanks!

I unloaded the Vehicle repair and after one crop cycle the new fields deleted again and reverted back to original state. I attached the log files, let me know if this is the info you were looking for.

A bit frustrating

There is no log.txt in the spoiler of your last post. Therefore please post the contents of the log.txt again.

Btw does this happen on an existing savegame, or does it also happen when you start a new career on one of the two standard maps without any mods in the mods folder?

It happens on an existing game on the game map in the hard level. I will plow the fields to expand the field size plant a crop, harvest it then start to plant another crop and it will then revert back to the original field size. In previous times it would revert after the second planting in the middle of the growing cycle. I have deleted all the mods that I have added around the time that this has started.

A new item has just happened, my helper will not cultivate the field now. Not sure if this is tied to this bug but it is currently raining.

The rain ended and the helper mode does not work with cultivating but does work with seeding

OK, since the issue happens on an existing savegame, please try to start a new career on one of the standard maps and then check if the issue happens there as well.

Also make sure that none of the additional mod maps you have currently installed is activated in the mod selection screen when starting the savegame or the new career:

I am having the same issue with Goldcrest Valley map. I harvested a newly created field and even replanted it. It rained and the field crop turned back to original state of grass. I couldn't plow it with allow plow to create new field. Another field which I had created, still with it's first crop did not get reset. Additionally, all fields show a 'need plowing' state, even though I had just plowed some fields on original map. I did notice a shimmering of lines within the map and residual soil states on map even though field had been completely plowed.

I reviewed log file below and remove the invalid mod and removed all maps that I do not use since this log file.

As long as this issue does not happen on a completely fresh savegame with no mods inside the mod folder (not only deactivated, but actually removed from the mod folder itself), there is not much we can do. If this in fact happens with said conditions than we can start to look for a fix. Just remove all of the mods and start putting them back in one after another, checking if the error occurs ;)

I moved mod folder from directory, and played a fresh game no problems. I then took the last back-up save game file for the farm I am working to replace current save game data. I loaded game and ran without mods with no problems. I then reset the game by again coping the last back-up and installed only one mod each time. The only time problem occurred is with jodamm Ground Modification mod. I guess there is some issue with the groundmodification_density.gdm file or groundmodification_map.xlm interfering with map1.

I have the same problem. I'm playing Gold Crest Valley, a save game that i've been playing since the game was released. I've expanded the original fields around my farm, and have used them with no problems for quite some time. The other day i had the same experience described. As i harvested my fields, i could see that the 'newly created' field area had all reverted back to grass. I was able to harvest just fine, and afterwards i plowed and used 'allow created fields' again. There are small graphical glitches in the new areas, but nothing too major.

The only change i made before noticing this was to add a few mods, one of which is the mod that lets you use the roller to create different ground types. like gravel, dirt, asphalt, etc... I am not ingame right now, so i can't tell you which mod that is exactly, but i expect it is the same mod that CQ59 is referring to. I'll try removing that mod tonight.

It is the ground modification mod. Be sure to check savegame folder and remove those two files if removal of mod does not do it.
