Had a power issue and just saved game 1 about 3 sec before backup power went out. When returning FS17 could not open game.xml. Looking at file I noticed it was blank. I deleted file and FS17 launched and created a new one. When I go into career, only my savegame2 is showing and savegame1 is listed as not used. The folder for savegame1 does exist. What do I need to do to get FS17 to recognize the folder again? I do know how to edit xml files if I need to.

Just resolved my own problem. The backup savedgame1 I used like is savedgame1 all xml data was blank. I copied the next latest backup and savedgame1 was recognized. Fortunately, I only lost about 1/2 of work.

Do you use the mod "Auto-save"?
