Can you tell me what is wrong?

hi, you can delete the File.
if you start new, it will be create new.
You have to Change some Settings again. Thats all.

i have uninstalled re - installed and downloaded update. still getting the original error message as above.

No, he means delete the game.xml in the Farming Simulator 2017 folder found at This PC/Documents/My Games/Farming Simulator 2017
Look for game.xml and delete it, then restart the game, then try and download it. But don't try it until boserlowe confirms this, because I don't want to mess up your game

The game xml just contains settings. Delete it and run the game, a new file will be created.

Hi, I have an OSx system running on mac. I deleted the game.xml file as suggested, but now when start up the game the screen is black and then it crashes. Has anyone had this problem on mac before.

@Sthernman: I'm playing FS17 on macOS, but I've never seen that problem before or heard that the game.xml file can't be loaded on macOS.

In order to get a better idea what is going wrong it would therefore be helpful if you could post the log.txt file of the game here, which can be found in the same folder where the game.xml is located.
