- PC/Mac/PS4/XB1: xbox 1, but probably all other platforms as well.
- Vehicle/Tool/Model/Object: sugarcane harvesters
- Issue: won't allow harvester to harvest crop during rain which is inaccurate as in real life sugarcane farmers don't stop harvesting even when it is raining or even flooded.
- Single- or Multiplayer:both
- Steps to reproduce: try harvesting cane while raining and it won't let you.
- Does it happen on a standard map without mods yes/no yes

Hi garyst!
Thanks for the input. This is an intended decision though since we wantedt to keep it complient with the other harvests in the game. It's a Won't Fixer for now

I understand. It isn't a game breaker or big deal but hopefully in fs19 ya'll implement being able to harvest sugarcane while it's raining, especially if ya'll plan on doing something like having dynamic ground in the next fs. It would be so fun to harvest cane in the mud making ruts on the turnrows and getting stuck every once in a while.

Re: [WON'T FIX] Can't harvest sugarcane during rain
there are many crops you can harvest in the rain, if you can afford to dry them, and the ones that don't need drying and themselves are unaffected by rain directly can still fall foul of the other limiting factor, field conditions, a majority of fields you would NOT even enter with standing water on them, because you would sink, make deep ruts everywhere and cause mud to be tracked onto the public road.
however if sugarcane is ever to be harvested in the rain, and given how days are growing seasons and half a days rain equates to a wet growing season, then the value of sugarcane harvested when its raining in-game should have a lower value, as the crop in the reality of a wet harvest season has far higher leaf-mater meaning its value at the mill is lower for any given volume.
even the video posted by the OP and other related videos on the youtube page that opens say about the decrease in value at the mills.

A bit off topic, but in the same area. Sugar beets. They are harvested even in the rain, and are totally unaffected by standing heaped during rain. They are stored outdoors at the sugar refineries here. Price is also unchanged (lousy!). Maybe you could look at that at the same time.
