Is FS20 the end of the series?

Was Farming Simulator 20 (for Nintendo Switch and Mobile) an afterthought?

- I don't see an FS20 for PC or any other platforms other than Switch + Mobile
- FS20 seems like a really watered down (feature-wise) version of the last PC version, which is FS19, which although I never played, looks absolutely amazing compared to FS20
- If you Google FS20 you get a ton of forums and reddits full of people complaining about its lack of features

I guess I'm worried most about the fact that FS20 was never released for PC. Is Giants no longer actively developing Farming Simulator games? And is FS20 the last title in the series?

Even number games are mobile only. (Other than the first game, FS2008) And odd numbers are PC/Mac/Console.
FS20 Was at release both a gutted version of 19, and gutted of many FS18 features, some of which they’ve added back, but the game was completely remade since FS18 so the removals make sense and they’re adding some back as time progresses.

Oh thats interesting I didn't know about that release cadence @DEERE317 -- thanks. How can I be notified when new features are released for FS20 on the Nintendo Switch?

Usually it’s in the Farming Sim websites news/blogs section and/or on their YouTube channel. It typically is equipment though, but they did add in getting out of vehicles recently.
