My WIP Thread

Post by ClassicTractors »

I have decided to venture into the world of modding. I am still learning, so please don't ask for updates as I will have to learn as I go along. This is my official WIP thread, so I will update it as I complete or start more mods.

[WIP] - Gooseneck Trailer - Approximately 40 ft - Began 3-D model. I'm thinking this may have two separate versions: one with ramps and one with ramps and a winch to winch vehicles onto the trailer.

[WIP] - New Holland 6610 - Started basics. I will work on it throughout the coming months as I learn more advanced Blender features.

Planned:

[Planned] - Flatbed Semi Trailer - American and Euro Style
[Planned] - Bottom Dump Grain Trailers
[Planned] - Ford 9700
[Planned] - Ford 2810

The tractors will still be months away because I am still learning everything. I have decided to start with simple mods and progressively work my way up to the more complex mods (tractors, trucks, etc).

Awesome, do you think there is a chance that these will be released to console?

Question about this... Will it just be like a pj trailer? Because I was planning on making one and a harvester/spreader trailer to release with the S650 I'm working on

If I can figure out console, I will try. The only issue will be some of the licensing. I do know that New Holland bought Ford, but I don't know if Ford brand tractors will be allowed in the game under the current license.

I was planning on it being like a PJ Trailer. If I can figure out how to upload a screenshot (it says it is in the wrong format), I can show you what it looks like. The only thing different from the PJ Trailer is mine may not have ramps. It will have a dovetail, so I suppose tall enough machines could drive up on it. It will basically be a pallet/bale trailer. You can PM me if you have more questions.

Ford Tractors can't be in-game as far as I know, but the NH 6610 idea should work

I was wondering that too classictractors, ford was with NH since i was a kid, this was in the 90's, i think ford was with NH in the 80's too, but they have Ford-New Holland tractors, but like you said, NH bought out Ford, so idk how that would work.

Thanks for the pictures. I will definitely use them when I start. It will still be months while I learn everything necessary for a tractor mod.

I think it was the late 80s when they were together. Then, I believe the in early 90s, Ford-New Holland was sold to Fiat where they were allowed to use the Ford name for I think 10 more years after the sale was complete, then I believe it became New Holland from then on.

I do believe you have something here, but i just remember going by a dealership and seeing those big ole 4wd Ford-New Holland tractors, good memories.

Update on the Gooseneck: I have continued work on the 3-D model and it is coming along nicely. I still don't have an estimate on when the model will be done. I would upload a screenshot but every time I try, it says it is an invalid file extension.
