I don't think that the QA team goes to E3. Some new mods were posted during E3. On the other hand, I doubt it would have flown through testing in one day.

Probably the work load of the E3 participants were shared by those who stayed back. Add the FS19 preperations to this, you get no mods which I think is fair enough if you think how much we have been fed up with mods throughtout 2018.
I don't expect any type of dense mod release for FS17 anymore.

YEah this looks sweet. Though on a side note, what Seasons Geo (of the ones available on console) would most closely represent this area?

The default GEO would probably be closest.

This area has very similar tempretures and seasons to the UK.

It mainly a grass seed growing area, with a small bit of wheat.

As for testing the Q&A team are continuing to test and release mods. So It may be sooner than a months time... hopefully...

^^ With regard to the first look videos of the map, it is as good as Oakfield if not better. BulletBill and Oxygendavid always does a great job on optimization. Maps with that level of detail being that efficient is just brilliant and says a lot about how much time and effort they put on those maps.

Lone Oak funs better than GIANTS default maps on my PC.
I run my game on max graphic settings and yet do not drop a single frame. It's a solid 60fps everywhere. If I disable the frame rate limiter even in the farm yard its running around 75-90fps. Next to some of the large forests it drops to 61-62fps...haha I say that like its a bad thing.

I can even run the map in 4k res at around 35-55fps, which my PC really shouldn't be able to.

So even if your on a lower spec PC you will definitely be able to run the map fine.

Those trees, they always do that. Whatever you do, they always manage to drop the fps. I hope giants could come up with a solution for that. Because, if I'm not mistaken none of the other 3D models do something like that.

This gives me a huge hope that my PS4 Pro should be able to run it at 4k 60fps constant.
I can't even imagine how beautiful that lake and the cabin will look like in 4k.

Thanks again for that amazing map BulletBill :hi:

And please no offence to anybody but Eustace Pharmer's first look was just the best and the cutest :biggrin2:

Talking about the trees. It remembers me when I was trying to do a small game with my brother. The Unity game engine has it's own tree maker. I was trying to make a realistic one with a lot of branches and its end up being a poly bomb. I discovered that the problem was the number of branches. So I removed a lot o then and remake then being only a texture.

That makes a lot of sense on my perspective just as an observer.
When you plant trees in the game close together they don't do much till they reach to a certain maturity.
After that it is all about fps drops, stutter and even game crash.
So, the density and number of the branches makes a lot of sense really.
