FS19-Graphics Question

Post by ekeenan »

Are the graphics a bit more demanding? I have a 1060 and I have been experiencing heavy stuttering. I did turn the overall graphics settings down to "High" and the performance seems to be better. Unless there is some work that still needs to be done in this area, it appears you need a card that is higher than the 1060 in the Nvidia category to run at max settings.

I doubt it is any more demanding than FS17. The scenery don't look nearly as nice as those images they released comparing scenes to FS17.
To be honest, FS17 looks visually nicer.

Which 1060? 6 or 3 gb? I run a 6gb with a 4Ghz processor and 12 gb RAM. I run on very high with max view range etc and have 60fps stable. 3gb 1060 has fewer cores and threads and runs slower.

Obviously, update to latest drivers. Ensure you are not running intensive processes in the background.

I running on an older Dell T3500 Workstation with a 4 core Xeon @2.9mhz, 32GB memory, and a Nvidia Quadro 4000K professional card with 3GB VRAM and can run in on max, but get a small drop in FR, but on High, it's smooth as silk and looks great to me; I notice a difference between FS17 for sure, but it's not everything. The dynamic (moving) vegetation can give you a hit too. I was running my AMD RX 480 8GB card on this machine, but keep having issues with Farm Simulator and Spintires games from what I can tell is a driver issue. It now in my Windows 10 machine, and once my new SSD's get here I'll get that one up and going. That's a sweet card and being driven by dual 8 core Xeons with 64GB's of memory she should be an animal.

I have a ryzen 7, 16gb ram and a 1060 6gb oc and had no issues on very high, other than some screen tearing, but that could be fixed easy, I have a cheap hd monitor.. I haven't tested anything, but I have blocked of vsync in Nvidia settings so I will turn it on and see what happens

the game is heavier than 17, this is obvious. There is more stuff. a 1060 6gb should handle it in 1080 without problems without amenting lodge etc etc. which is heavier I realized it too with a titan xp. sorry for bad english

To make things easy, I started with the New Farmer option. The stuttering I am noticing is taking place when I perform field work on the fields. At first I thought enabling Vertical sync was the answer, but evidently this is not the case. When I am walking, I hardly notice the stuttering. My video card is Nividia's 1060GB. My system is using Intel's third gen I5 so my system is about 4 years old. I wonder if FS19 is cpu dependant?

I think it must be something to do w/ the engine they used to build the game. I have FS15 &17 on PS4 and Xbox One S. I have FS19 on Xbox One S and the "mapping distance" is very poor on FS19 on Xbox One S.

As I'm driving down the road it will build the scenery as I'm driving like 100 yards in front of me, it did not do this on 15 or 17. I know on a PC you can change some settings in the graphics on some games to increase the mapping distance so the graphics maybe go down in general but it doesn't show the building or mapping of the scenery as you drive down the road.

To me it seems as though FS19 is too graphic for the Xbox One S it's like it can't keep up. It doesn't show nice scenery under 100 yards from you but as you're driving or working a field it is constantly and slowly generating more scenery in front of you. It reminds me of a PC game where you have the graphics turned up higher than your graphics card can handle.

I am playing it now on the One S, 4K UHD tv, I have none of the problems you have. I can’t see detail that’s far in the distance but I can see far enough in detail that it’s barely noticeable. How strange.

I have an original Xbone. And i have the exact same issues. The graphics are actually worse then on FS17.

You must have a pretty sweet card! I mean, I completely maxed all settings with my 1080 Ti 11GB and I had 60 FPS at 1080p.... (60Hz monitor and it's not 4K) However, did experience dips to 30 FPS in some areas when a lot was being rendered on Ravenport while on big fields. Had to reduce the resolution scaling from 200% back to 100% to maintain a solid 60 FPS. Pretty sweet you're able to maintain 60 FPS with max settings in 4K with your 1060. Now I'm wondering what's wrong with my system......

Well, I don't have a ton of equipment yet so that may change things. I know if FS17 once I got a lot of equipment I would get those dips that you are speaking of but I ran FS17 in 4K too. Now I'm wondering if I have a setting incorrect because it takes less gpu resources for this game than FS17 did at the same resolution. Hmmm, might have to dig in a bit.

I should also mention my resolution scaling was untouched. It's at 100%.
