Just heads up that if you are starting up cows think about the production level you want and only feed them the required food type. If they have TMR in the trough they will not consume the other types until it runs out, so don't waste time putting resources in there they may never need, especially early game.

I'm not sure how you guys feel but to me that's the way it should be. If silage and hay is in the TMR should there be a need to feed those separately? I always griped about that in 17 so i think good with it although I haven't started cows yet. Does filling TMR fill those bars or no?

no those bars stay empty and I agree this way makes more sense!

At least they have some backup if thing go really wrong with tmr production...but I feel your frustration

I have no problem this way,but 17 was my first fs game,so that was all i knew.

this is as it should be... IRL if you were to feed all types of food as you can in FS, the cows would first eat the TMR, then the silage or hay... They know what the good stuff is, like a kid knows that candy tastes better than vegetables... Lol

I think you are probably right. I do wonder why they changed the food system for one version of the game and then changed back. Maybe Giants just like to keep us on our toes!?
