Forestry Fs19

Forestry in fs19 is a step back, I played fs17 for 1000 hours, and now i started on fs19 with 30 hours by now.
The real step back is the harvester arm steerings, now you cant seperatly attract the arm without lift the boom, is impossible to use this right ( ps4 ) same goes for the truck.
And there is no real forest aereas like in fs17, just some small plases with a few threes, so if you dont own the whole map you will have to plant forest in a ugly looking field. And at last, no hooklifters, they was perfect to forestry too. So as a senior fs player with thousands of playing hours i will give this game a 3 point ... now it all hopes lays on the modderes.

Plant grass on the field and then plant trees or just delete the field...no more ugly.
Also, there should be an option to disable the booms working simultaneously. Can't remember what it's called but look around in the settings. It's there.
Hooklift wasn't in FS17. It was only
Available as a mod which I'm sure is on its way for 19 also.

Yes, this is on ps4. And for tree planting, still a forest aerea would be better than planting them

Can you buy trees as placeables, or do you have to either fell existing ones or those you have planted?

(Can't see them in the store, so assume not?)

Trees are no longer placeables, thats a shame when building a farm, no garden trees. You have to plant trees, and there is only one type to plant

Yes, there was even a mod with trees

Yeah, too bad. I miss the solar panels too. In FS17 I made little fields with solar and wind in combination with placeable trees. Looked nice.

There is an option in the settings for something like ‘easy arm controls’ if you turn that off the crane will work fine.

TBH, I enjoyed the "Buy a fir, cut it down with the Ponsse Scorpion, chop it into logs and make some quick money thing" on FS15, and if I'd known that it was in FS17 but not FS19, I'd probably have just gone for FS17 - or more likely, stuck with FS15 and saved myself from buying a new PS4!

Is the price reduction in woodchips a feature or bug? It used to be viable to setup up a woodchip operation but at current prices its done.

Guys I don't know if you know but you can plant trees anywhere on your property, not only on fields... you can plant them even on the hills

Me, i really like the new way the arm works, the works a bit like Spintires. Pretty easy to use.

I game, i buyed a forest land, but for every tree i cut down, i plant a new one at the same place. This keep every forest land to look like a forest haha
