Newbie With NO Experience Questions

Post by OLD FUELWOOD »

Hello Everyone,
I have just purchased fs19 for the logging part,as i'm not interested in farming.looks to me that I might be planting tree's later on though.
I've spent so far about 6,000.00 in fuel & about 20+hrs and have cut down 1 tree with a kamatsu harvester.not all time & money with 1 machine.
one problem i'm having is when I hook up a timber runner trailer to a lizard warrior and press "Q"the program quits, plus I cant unhook 5th wheel from detachable low boy trailer. I have so many questions on how to operate this game, at 66 good thing I got all winter to learn before I go back to work in april!

Hi there and welcome to the game!
If the game just quits when you try to attach (Q) the timber trailer, you might have run into a bug.
Are you using any controllers, like gamepad or steering wheel?

Can you unplug the joystick, leave only the keyboard & mouse and try the trailer attach action again?

You have to select the correct tool, on the Jenz you can change between crane and supporting arms, so make sure you choose to raise them up before driving along.

This is the second time I've had this problem. The first time I never could figure it out,or fix it so I sold the chipper and bought a new one. that was in ravensport this time i'm in felsbrunn i'm hope'in that someone will help me out. when watching the fold up,the stabilizers go in & out,but still get caught on pavement. I get stuck in dirt going forward-but can back up spinning. I can go forward only a short distance be for stopping from dragging. I hope I don't sell chipper to fix problem. " Ive not found or used the reset button".....help!

Have you tried pressing G to cycle through the available controls? You need to be on the support legs to raise and lower them. If the help menu is not displayed in the top left press F1 to enable it. Then press G until you see something about raise or fold legs or support.

Yes I have tried G a few times with no luck. as stated above they the stabilizers go in and out,but not up & down the. way it looks like to me is that they are flat on the pavement with no space under them. i'm pretty sure when everything works correctly there is a little space under the feet of the stabilizers when they are in the "out" position. is that not correct?

I tried to post a screenshot, but I could not do it. I would love to post a video but do not know how to do that either. I've been struggling for about 4 hrs trying different things. I might try buying new chipper and compare the two!!..

Do you have the help menu enabled on your top left of the screen? It should show you exactly what to do with each implement.

There is one button for extending the support and another for raising/lowering support. You have to select which group you control, either the support arm, crane or pipe if I remember correctly.
