Re: Seasons 19 WIP Updates (PC release 24/07)
I have officially stopped playing FS until seasons is released on the 24th. Thank goodness for Realismus modding, I will be making a donation to them for all their hard work! The game just doesn't feel right without the seasons mod and is too damn repetitive with no strategy. Here's to hoping FS21 will incorporate seasons into base game! If not, my purchase will sadly be delayed

You can start your engine and wait half an hour. Not everything needs modding.

Most people dont bother warming up tractors in the winter unless it's an old tractor, which usually means they dont have a choice or not whether to wait since itll just die or be boggy. You can warm up your tractor without the need for a modBcousins10626 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 9:58 am Will you guys be adding the possibility of having to warm your tractor up to a certain temperature in the winter time before using? Then connecting that to the mechanical repair costs if used when still cold?

Yeah fair point, also the fact that you get dairy bull calves which cost money since they are uselessTheCanadianJD wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 1:26 amIt could be very interesting if we can irrigate, especially as there is and irrigation system on the modhub right now.Shambala12 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 2:44 pm "Germination can also fail on parts of your field when the conditions turn too cold, or too dry."
Will there be an opportunity to use irrigators, especially on more water intensive crops like potatoes and maize
Also with regards to the 14month breeding period for cattle, I know every system is different however the majority if not all dairy farms run an 12 month system. They are given one heat where they are not given AI to cleanse the internals so on the 2nd heat (usually around 21 days later) will get her first AI. Providing she is successful, she will give birth in 9 months time (11 1/2 total) however there is usually around 30-40% failure rate which will usually get in next heat which will end up just over 12 months. If it's something you wouldnt want to change, then fair enough and will be happy with whatever is given anyway, just my thought
Also in regards to the 14 month gestation period, I think it's reasonable because while everything you stated is true, we don't have to deal with any loss of newborns so I think it's a fair trade off to have a slightly longer gestation period.

This is exactly my thoughts as well.Bcousins10626 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 10:05 am I have officially stopped playing FS until seasons is released on the 24th. FS 19 was fun at first but I haven't played it for months now waiting for Seasons mod to come out.
Can't wait and seeing all these new features I understand why the wait has been soooooo long, but totally worth it.
Thank you soo much Realismus Modding team for your work !

It already was in autumn, probably not in winter since ground will likely be frozen...

Will you pre release this mod some bigger fs channels like Daggerwin, Frithgar and Simul8. It would give even more to hype to this awesome mod. I really have to donate at patreon I cant believe someone makes so much work for community really you guys and oxygenDavid etc are the Mvp's on saving that playing farming simulator feels amazing.

Are there any changes in regards to running contracts?
Re: Seasons 19 WIP Updates (PC release 24/07)
As an option I hope, otherwise I won't be buying it. Got nothing against the mod but it ain't for me.Bcousins10626 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 10:05 am Here's to hoping FS21 will incorporate seasons into base game! If not, my purchase will sadly be delayed

I agree if Giant added Season to the base game like FS21 players should be able to turn it on or off or at least have the game ask you when starting new game save. Like everything else it should be a simple on or off in the game settings.

So will we be able to fertilize said pastures and get more grass or will it just be a set amount.reallogger wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 11:07 pm @OkieFarmer and @anthu
Yes you can rotate cattle and let it graze on one pasture while the grass regrows on another.
Grass will also grow while the cows are in the pasture, but depending on the number of cows and the size of the pasture the cows might for instance graze it off so there might be a period where the cows have no grass.
For cows we have no changed their preference for different feed. So same as vanilla.
