The egg boxes always spawn upper right to left. when i get a second box i load the first and put the second in its place. I only had 100 chickens so it was easy to watch. When i skipped night i would load first 3 boxes and arrange the rest in above order.

Very few are full. Each time you restart the game a new eggbox spawns.

It's really not that confusing...

And this is a MUCH better method that in previous titles where you had to run around the entire coop every day...
It was not that there was confusing the prices. It is that in the Help menu it says that it produces Pallets, NOT small box's.

yes but how do you know that when its sitting on the ground?
I did some math. My eggs were 5774/1000L, so thats 5.77/L. Took one full box to the sell point and got 866 for the box. 866per box @5.77/L is approx 150L

I believe the issue of a new box spawning each time you start the game has been fixed with the latest update.

If you move a box in the spawn area, will new eggs still be added to that box?

Yeh. And now the chickens hardly lay eggs at all.

Egg pallets would be really useful, at the moment i need to load all the boxes to the car manually and later unload manually too, they do not auto sell when i arrive to sell point.

Example how to transport eggs at the moment, funny isnt it?

I like the eggs being in boxes, you don't have to worry about your pen getting to the limit, now greenhouses can be in a pallet form.

that info is all fine and good but that still doesn't help when you walk over to the loading area and there is a few boxes laying around. They need to add some sort of way to see inside the box so you know how many eggs are in there.

150 eggs per box ?. My animal screen shows I have 591 eggs but there is only one box in the zone.

The confusion came in to play in that there was no indicator on the sell screen of what quantity the sell price was for, AND, no readily identifiable means of identifying how many eggs are in a single carton. When just starting out, not doing any special experiments to find out information (that should just be presented) your looking at a blank brown box of how many? 50, 2000, 300, insert random number variable here.

At least with the wool pallets when you pickup the pallet on the forks, your given an indication of exactly how much wool is in that pallet.

So as presented, $500 for eggs, and your given eggs as a carton, its perfectly reasonable and logical for people with no further information to go on, to ASSUME the sell price is per carton, and THAT'S where the confusion begins. Even if you know that sell prices are in quantities of 1000, ok, still no info as to how many eggs in a carton, so its logical to assume 1k per carton.

Confusion could be drastically reduced by clarifying the quantity of eggs in a carton. Even something as simple as a slight alteration of the carton text to have the number of eggs in a full carton listed on the top of the box would go a long way toward reducing initial confusion.

In short, there are some places the devs did a poor job of providing information to players in-game.
We should need to go doing outside research and waiting for player experimentation and forum postings to find out some of the basics of the game, such as how many eggs are in a carton.
Information like that should just be provided in-game.

yeah palletizing would be cool. and why not an option to directly sell to buyer, like milk in FS15 too. you could choose to do everything by yourself, or automatize it

My frustration with chickens is that there is no way to buy or sell them without a transport fee. Can we have a transporter for chickens please GIANTS?
