Paint wear off equipment and dirt?

Is there only certain models of tractors and equipment that paint wears off and when do you start to notice. Also it seems that the dirt wears off tires really fast when driving on roads.

Mr. SealyP mentioned in one Video, where he has tested the effects of the maintenance that John Deere does not have that effect of wearing of the paint. But I have to say, that I don't understand everything what is spoken in english...

Has this feature not been added to the game yet, I have three different model tractors below 20 percent maintenance and they still look new. The plows I have are at 0 percent and after washing they look new as well.

The tractors only loose paint near the pto and John Deer does loose paint there as well. The tractors and harvesters need to get pretty low before they start to loose any paint, and even then it's hard to notice.

And mud wears off real tires pretty fast going down the road...

Ok I will take a closer look at the pto and ya the dirt wears off real fast but oh well not game breaking just strange.

actually the tractors lose paint on the steps and other often used parts aswell (gas tank etc) i let one of my tractors go down to the end of its life basicly before fixing it.
it was missing paint all over

Yes it is, but it's poorly implemented, it should be based on hours owned and used, not whether the vehicle/implement needs maintenance. Having a tractor and harvester owned for an in game year with 100+ hours on each but still looking as if they are fresh off the showroom floor is a bit of an immersion killer.

Most of my equipment has 40-60 hours of use and are all at 0% maintenance. Very few pieces have anything significant as far as visual wear. Was really looking forward to this feature as I love a used machine.

I only use the game for forestry so the machines dont seem to be affected by the in game maintenance feature. They still operate just fine so I leave them at 0% for what very little paint wear they do have.
