Yup imagine it just like hay you cut it to get it evenly dry then you have a pickup head that’s similar to a balers pickup. Once it’s in the combine then it’s just the same process as straight cutting.Dairydeere wrote: ↑Mon Oct 05, 2020 7:01 pm Yea, we call that swathing too, just never seen it done with crops that usually go through a combine. So it's still getting the canola grain when it goes through the combine?

Yep, I've seen it for harvesting alfalfa seed, but never for things like canola.
I think I found the pickup head you used for it, but I have yet to find the MacDon swather. Very interested in trying out that kind of harvesting

Your going to need all the stuff that’s only in custom moddings Facebook group to get it to work correctly, To get it to work right with seasons and on maps that aren’t set up for it you need stuff from a guy, ThundR, who shut down his page. He’s got a mod that will break the fruit on the ground limit so you can play with things like seasons, straw me, and maize and forage plus all together on a map that isn’t set up for it. In my opinion he’s a freakin genius.

Hey everybody. I have been handed the high responsibility of choosing the "Big 3" for the week from Redglasses and DairyDeere. This is an awesome thread and I am glad you all keep it going. Each Tuesday I will be putting out the post of the week.
Here are the Top 3 since DairyDeere picked them a little over a week ago. Have a great week farming!
