Those who can't play The Western Shore are missing something spectacular... I have seen a lot of screenshots and gameplay movies of FS19 over the last two years. Yes, machinery and building can look really nice when the oversaturated colors don't take over; but the rest not so. And that - to me - makes it look unbalanced and cartoon-like. The Western Shore takes the standard of even the best FS17 maps to another level. The latest update is just amazing, with seasonal objects, other things that come and go on the map, the distant scenery that changes, simulated waves along the shore line, etc. And all the mods for better textures makes it just yum. Every square inch of that map is taken care of. Fantastic roads you don't get bored driving on. And after playing on it for 10 months I'm still fascinated by the realistic network of power-lines and phone-lines all over the countryside. Driving in the night on small winding roads, passing other farms where the lights are on, hearing the sound of an airplane above... For some FS players these things don't matter, but to me they do. The map has to look and feel realistic to give me the joy. Otherwise it's just about the same tasks over and over again without end, since the game has no ending...
