My game suddenly froze for a few seconds, and the next I know I was back at the desktop. Total game shut down. Game process just terminated. But what is worse is that the saved game slot is now empty. The saved game folder still remains in the FS19-folder though. But the game wont recognize it, and the saved game is not there to load anymore.
Is there some way to rescue this saved game, or is it just lost? Does anybody have simular experiences, or any advice?

It sounds like the save corrupted and after that I’m pretty sure there’s nothing you can do but start fresh, unless you went back in the save files if they’re still there and pick one before it corrupted, unless it would just corrupt again.

It is the careerSavegame.xml file that has been deleted from the saved game folder. Interesting that it actually has been deleted. One would expect that the file wouldn't had been updated during game shut down. But this bug actually deletes the file.
It seems like the only protection against this bug, is to constantly making backups of your saved game folders. With all the beta maps and mods out there at this stage, I think it's a good advice anyhow.

Found the savegameBackup folder, and could restore my game.
