Well I’ve built one before and I’m an electrician so I can probably figure it out, bud.
That's good then. Typically you can save around $100-150 these days by building it yourself vs getting one with the same hardware from a boutique builder. However, you will be left with having to deal with warranty issues with each separate manufacturer. You will obviously have no support (not a big deal in my opinion). Whether saving that amount is worth it is up to you, depending on how much you value your free time.
You will also generally get a better motherboard, memory, power supply, better SSD etc. and still save money.

Not always. Because you can not buy stuff in bulk same build can cost you more money, then some deals online.
I got Nvidea GeForce RTX 2080 8 GB intel core I 7- 8700(3.20GHz) 6 core, 16 GB DDR4, 240 GB SSD, 1TB HDD , windows 10 home. Plus keyboard and mouse. And this thing came in great gaming case . All for $1400.
Good luck to make that build and save money.

Also how the stuff are you running 4 144hz monitors on a 4GB 980? I mean, they’re powerful but I didn’t think they were that powerful...

It's awesome with games like WoW, FS19, Elite Dangerous, Eve Online. I don't usually use the accessory monitor while gaming, and the 3 surround monitors are 1080p. With "faster" games like F1 2016 not so great, you get screen lag messing up the steering in the fast corners.

Depends on the card.Do not expect anything better then you can get on x box1x. Check out benchmarks online . If you go with economy build game will work about same or worst then PS 4 pro or X box 1X.Only difference - more mods.
For good build you looking around 1200-1500$ as start. And soon or later you will buy gaming monitor( another 600$). Because when you have good gaming PC then playing game on TV with 60Hz refresh rate is just nothing special. Whatever people say.

Yeah ignore what he just said...

you can get a decent pc set up that will play most games at highish settings for around $700 or less. Just get a GTX 1050ti, a decent quad-core processor, and a basic 1080p monitor and you're good to go.

And you can get a pretty nice gaming monitor for $200. 1080p, 144Hz with freesync and gsync technology

I have 1050 Ti on my laptop with 1080 screen.Game straggles sometimes on ultra setting. Specially on modded maps.OP is trying to build PC for better expirience then X box1 X. He will not get better expirience with that type of build and 1080 screen.
And in long run it probably bad idea. In 2 years you will have to upgrade it.
And no point to buy monitor then. Just use TV.

Well duh it's struggling, you're trying to play on ultra settings. If you wanna play 4k at 60FPS you're gonna need at least a 1070ti/RTX 2070 and a high-end processor, which will definitely be expensive. But, if you're on a budget, $600-700 will do just fine- and you can upgrade it in the future to make it last longer.

So 1050Ti build wont work for OP then? Did you just offer that build hour ago? Can you get 1070 ti / RTX 2070 and make it around 700$ like in your post? Let' s put money amount and see how much it will cost to OP.
OP , good build with 1070 ti or 1080 will lend you in 1200- 1400 $ range in US. Probably more in Canada or Europe.
