I'm a console player. I bought fs19 upon release. I played a couple hours and decided to wait for mods, maps, bug fixes, etc. I recently tried to pick it up again and it dawned on me how much more complete fs17 was compared to fs19.
Fs19 is new and drastically below its potential due to mods and upgrades it will receive until fs21 comes comes.
Long story short: for me personally I will be purchasing next fs21 just before fs23 comes out. Fs19 is incomplete due to the overall format and constant additions until next version comes out.
IMHO fs17 (at this moment) is a far more complete and perfected game compared to fs 19.

Re: We buy this game backwards...
This has been my takeaway as well. I have had a short run through 19, and am looking forward to more of it, but probably won't spend any time on it for another year. I am still immensely enjoying 17 and looking forward to several more things I want to try with it yet. Why would I switch to a new version that doesn't do as much and isn't as stable and doesn't have as much content at this point as the older version that I still love playing every day?
But I'm still buying all the content for 19... cause addicted.
Re: We buy this game backwards...
Have you tried?
Re: We buy this game backwards...
I have and despite its lack of content there is enough improvements to stick with it.
