create a whole new map on the consoles

has anyone ever tried to create a whole new map on the consoles using the terrain editor to build a new one from scratch? if so, share some photos here.

You cant because we dont have a blank map, the most you can do is make a small map that is missing features near some big fields

I'd be interested in seeing how that works as well. I just need a blank flat empty map, press enter and i'll just fill it in, in game with placeables. That's all i need, but i have a 2007 era PC, and still on Win 7 lol. Don't know if that could do it.

I know that we do not have a blank map unfortunately, but with the tools available in the editor it is possible to modify it in such a way that it looks like a new map with some creativity.

A blank map would be cool just would not work with consoles due to slots other then that I think it would be interesting to make a small farm with fields still.

Well it would work for me. I don't need all those slots. So i'd like to know how to make a blank mod if not for my own personal use with the rescources i have. I'm tired of waiting for Giants and Modders if i can do it myself for my own use.

Would it work with Win 7 on a somewhat older PC (2007 era)? And how do i get 'Giants Editor"? Maybe i'll try it if it does, but the fella above says there is no blank maps.

If I'm not mistaken, still with a "blank" map, you'd need at least a shop and some sell points. Maybe use some placeables for the sell points, if there is such.
Back with FS15 I think it was, there was a map called Hard Working. You started with 1 or 2 fields, the rest you had to cut down trees and grind the stumps, then plow your new fields. That would be cool for 19, but the way you have to set up "buyable" areas within the map, you'd still have to use GE.
It would be great to see Giants or a modder to release a map along those lines. A map with a small start area with a shop, a few sell points and the rest is up to you.

Yes there are blank maps available. Not sure if GE will work with win 7 though. And as stated above, you'll need to put sell points, a shop, an animal dealer etc in. And of course it you want it on consoles, it will have to be tested.
Map making is far from easy. Even with a blank map, no idea how you set up the economy, contracting, the PDA and so forth.
Even the experts take a few months to make one.
