New Woodshire - Discussion

Post by chedly_farms » Thu Mar 28, 2019 5:37 pm

I'm about four hours from downloading and taking a look around the New Woodshire map, how does it look fellow farmers? The pics on ModHub look fantastic. Hats off and thank you to the modder, you do real nice work.

Also I noticed the file size is bigger than other maps, at around 400+. What's the slot count remaining for us pitiful console players? I thought I read somewhere that Giants wanted the maps to be 300mb or less.

Probably asking the obvious here, but this is an update of the FS17 Woodshire map, correct? If it's the one I'm thinking of, I really enjoyed that map.

Any list of improvements over the previous, or mostly just aesthetic upgrades?

New yards, new buildings, horses, places for placeables.... it is really NEW! The Yards are complete different compared to the FS17 Woodshire. And it's more American Feeling like before.

It is definitely the best looking map on console but slot count on new farmer is around 940 but 850 after selling some starting equipment and for that reason I don't think I'll able to do make it my main map as I'll be to conscious about slot counts but still and amazing job

That limited slot count tightens up buying power for sure

I caught a quick first look. It would be pretty good with older American iron.

Sadly the silo is taking up 67 slots already. It has to be worth every penny :geeknew:
Or maybe that gets fixed as it was also a similar case with the bunker silo on mercury farms at first.

Hey guys, thank you for your first feedback. I didnt realize the problem with the slots on New Woodshire, because I cant test my maps on consoles.
But maybe I can fix this in the next days.

Best regards Redkeinstus

Redkeinstus, thank you for bringing Woodshire to FS19. I haven't had that "FS17 feeling" in 19 yet but I'm thinking your map will change that.

i enjoyed the one on 17... this one looks even better and more finished for the PC, just breaking it in now. i can already say, the challengers are a tight fit for the one bridge, but doable. visually, the upgrades look fantastic... now i need that canuck map remade... and i will have my two favourites.
