Post by farmerdonnie »

litres vs bushels for example 1000 litres is 28.37 bushels would be nice if this was implemented into the game i know it can as a mod maybe someday for all platforms ..

First you need to know the bushel weight or hectoliter weight... Wheat is around 0.7 ton per 1000liters

liter/bushel is a unit of volume
in order to convert volume to mass, you need to know density

to keep things simple most people use conversion tables, like this:
1 litre = 0,028 bushel
1000 l = 28,7 bushel
wheat weights 60lbs per bushel, so:
1000l (28,7 bushel) of wheat = 1722lbs
1722lbs = 781kg (0,78 metric tonnes)
in reverse, 1 metric ton of wheat is 36,74 bushels

other crops:
corn is about 39,3 bushels per metric ton
barley is 45,9 bushel per ton

of course these are averaged conversion factors, they do not account for moisture and other factors that can affect grain mass, if you need accurate values (e.g. at the grain silo) then take a sample, weight it and then its simple math
