There is still no GPS mod in the game. When will this mod be released? Is there any information?

I used it. Very bad. The old gps system was much better.

Yeah, just saying ‘it’s very bad’ doesn’t help anyone

Well yes that, plus most of the FS pioneers aren't even using the latest version from github and just claim it to be bad when they never really used the whole thing.
In fact, yes it is a bit difference in control and setup but in the end it all functions the same.
Or better said, it's more realistic. :D

Agreed that if you get the latest dev version - it works! I appreciate the fact of this Mod being more realistic, adds another level of depth for me to the game.

I think the guidance steering works very good and look forward to the further development.

The aspect of having to buy it is great. I usually just invest in it on my larger machines and leave the smaller ones with out it. Likely rather realistic.

I think the new Guidance Steering is awesome.
More realistic.
1. You have to buy it for each vehicle
2. It uses A B settings

Thanks Wopster.

I like Wopster's version and the direction its going, and the other branch is better than the older master branch.

and I am sure it is only going to get better over time.

it would be interesting from a simulation point of view to have "GPS" systems at different price points, with increasing accuracy and complexity/function, covering from basic guidance (no auto-steer) with a random error of up to +-15cm up to a RTK GPS with minimal error and a base station you have to place on your farm.

Just to throw in my opinion I much prefer what wopster has created as it is much more realistic, looking forward to further developments 👍

I am using it and it works good for me. I think its just most people don't try to read how to use it. Its more complicated then the original as you have to set up the run by making a first run without it set up. that first pass you make you have to set the track up and after that first run you have it set up, but you have to set up point a and point b for it to work.

That’s correct but to clarify you don’t need to do the whole run on the field it’s only minimum 15 meters I think for A to B to set up.

yes, one couldn't resist the grandiose "feature-finite-state-machine-guidance" naming :hmm: and the newer file dates! *thumbsup*
