Can we please either fix the placeables system or better yet just remove all restrictions/constraints from consoles so that we can actually place things where we would like to place them. Currently it appears placing on water is allowed but placing on open land near a tree cannot be done.

Oh and before you suggest that I just remove the tree, I would've liked to have kept it as a placeable tree takes up slots and would end up having to be placed further away due to the rediculous constraints. It would also be nice to place over top trees to have them inside pastureland.
I'm sorry but on PC its possible to place anything anywhere but on PS4 everything has a 10-20m footprint so its impossible to place anything in close proximity to anything else.
But in essence iB055 is totally right.
Some mod placeables do it very well and allow for very tight placement around other objects and some do not. Everything Giants has released (ingame or mod) is mostly in the second category.
This can not be the universal answer to every problem. Especially as this mod is not available for console.
In my opinion Giants should do some tweaks here. As stated before; there are already some placeables on the official ModHub that do a pretty good job here and do not have this 10-20m footprint. So the question is: why do others have it and especially why do the Giants placeables have it?

I think he was just addressing specifically towards PC players with this issue. The fact that some placeables have it and some do not is odd. Possibly because the people who make the mod draw up boundaries for placeables when they make the mod and GIANTS makes them bigger in an effort to minimize issues? Im not really sure.

Oh, you are wrong
No not wrong. PC may have issues with placeables however as per usual if there is as issue with something on PC there is almost always a mod such as the place anywhere mod created to fix that issue. PC also has the ability to use Giant Editor. The same cannot be said for consoles as we do not have and cannot have the same types of mods or a Giants Editor to fix the same issues.
Ya, this has been discussed before. No answer or any form of acknowledgement from giants though.

Maybe a modder can shed some light here as to how this works and why maybe some placeables may be in need of a bigger outline or not. I am just confused that it seems possible to not having these. And I mean even "official" mods from the Giants ModHub. So it can't be a restriction from Giants otherwise they would not have been approved.

No its not one vs the other. Stop being so arrogant and claiming this BS every time someone on console makes a post about an issue that PC has overcome. It is an issue across all platforms and currently only PC has a solution in which is the place anywhere mod.
This is something Giants needs to address because it is after all their new placeable feature .
