Tobacco?

Just a quick question, maybe someone knows the answer.

Is a future Tobacco crop dlc completely out of the question due to the fact many young people play Farming Simulator (Also the E Rating)?

This game is a great habit, I mean hobby. Can't seem to drop the controller. :mrgreen:

Never going to happen on the mod hub, and I'm ok with that. You can find multi fruit maps if your on PC, but not sure you'd find it satisfying.

I would not hope for that. Since this is 0+ rated game and you are kind of promoting smoking by raising and selling tobacco.

Makes sense, although I remember an old game called Sim Farm where growing tobacco was an option. Different times I guess. Might have to check it out on pc.

It boils down to cultural taboos and how they are portrayed. A kids movie might have a character who smokes a cigar, but put tobacco in an immersive video game and you could argue it has a greater influence even though tobacco is not being consumed in the game.

Yep, unfortunately tobacco is probably not a good idea given what society deems as inappropriate today.

One suggestion though would be peanuts. That would bring a few new pieces of equipment to the game as well as a crop. The equipment would primarily involve the harvesters, but could include pull type as well as self propelled combines. Not sure where all in the world they are grown, but it's a big part of farming in the southern US.

A crop that I would like to see in FS is the one of the Chickpea, which is collected with the combs of the cereals.

Chickpea would be great, I would also like to see Lucerne and sorghum, they could be mowed and bailed or collected loose, maybe have them giving improved yield over grass

This is kind of off topic but is there a possibility for beef cattle that could actually graze with some hay in addition? In my families farms (mainly black angus) its pasture based till grain feedlots?
