Timber Autoload issue

Post by Vid »

I am having an issue with timber autoload trailers. I have tried 3 different versions from different websites and on 3 different maps, but for some unknown reason it does not collect the wood.

If anyone has an answer, please could you let me know if it could be something I am doing wrong. Please note, although I am not a total technophobe, I don't understand the likes of altering script etc.

Thanks for your time.

All autoload trailers only load the wood from trees you can cut down using the wood harvesters (all conifers). So wood from all deciduous trees will not be recognized by the autoload scripts.
You also need to make sure that no branches are left on the trunks. Even a small one will disable the trunks from being picked up by the autoloader.

And palm trees on EL even though the wood harvester machines still won't cut them *thumbsdown*

Thanks for the heads up, I think I may have found the issue.

I use a gamepad to play the game on PC and in FS17, you used to get the controls come up to operate it, but it appears the only controls are via the keyboard, so I have to set the trailer options up that way and it will collect the logs.

Thanks for helping though.

Would any of these timber autoloaders be available on Console by chance?

Likely not as they are using external scripts. Those are not allowed on consoles.
Giants needs to include those scripts into the base game.

Hi Eische,

Just an update on my timber logging issue. Well I thought I had it solved, but I got as far as loading them, but now I can't unload them, even though I have tried so many different things. I am now considering opting for using them for woodchips and selling them as biofuel.

Anyway, just an update on something that I thought I had sorted.
