This is my 3 year old build:- https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/GLCyw6

I’ve bought a new case as the one listed was carried forward and it’s limiting in cooling and space for graphics cards. Also just bought a new GPU as I always felt I went a bit weak on that build (although the 970 has been a very good card for the £). Any suggestions for what the next priorities should be for improving the system? I use it mainly for simulator games - xplane, farming, ATS etc but play some other games too and am considering VR. I don’t have a 4K monitor but it is ultrawide (2560x1080).

You've gone pretty much as far as you can with this build, unless you upgrade the GPU again down the line.

You already got an NMVE drive, the only other thing would be adding another if you need more storage and going to 32GB of RAM but that really isn't necessary for gaming yet.

I myself had a similar build, except with a 1080ti, and I upgraded the board and 6700k to a 9600k. It is about 15% faster and 10% faster on single core performance which definitely helps with FS.

Thanks for the reply. So it’d have to be m/b & cpu for another step up in performance? Good to know, that can wait a while. Was wondering if I’d see any real gain installing faster RAM?

The first question I’ll ask you, do you have your ram profile set to XMP in the bios to take advantage of that 3000mhz? If not, it will only be running at 2133mhz. Also, have you over clocked your CPU? My 6700k oc’d to 4.5ghz which is quite a lot of free performance.

I've not changed anything in bios for RAM so unless the ROG profile has done that I'm guessing not - I'll check it, thanks for the heads up on that. I have oc'd my CPU to 4.6ghz currently but I'm probably going to take it down a notch to lower the voltage.

Thanks. I found where the setting is in my bios earlier but didn’t try it yet as I was testing throttling back my cpu o/c to 4.5ghz. Only saw 1 profile though, most things I’ve seen/read suggest there would be 2 XMP profiles?

It's been years since I built a computer, I'm a bit out of the loop with all the new processors and graphics cards so please bear with me haha. but I'm looking at purchasing one on a budget of $650 but wanted some opinions on the hardware mainly to see how future proof it is. I believe it will run FS19 flawlessly but heres the main specs.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (3.6ghz)
GPU: AMD RX 580 4gb
RAM: 16 GB DDR4

No hardware expert, but a 4gb gpu seems a bit low, you should consider to select one with aleast 6gb, for the cpu i recommend to select one with 4 or more GHz due to the fact that a lot of games (including fs19) still do not offer full multicore support and therefore are limited to the calc speed of a single core.

I know every system is vastly different, even "similar" systems.. but honestly.. that was the one thing I was really worried about with my 8core as giants have admitted themselves that Giants Engine shines with single core power.. this would lead me to the conclusion that my cpu was going to suffer badly with fs19.. but I was wrong.. fs19 to date hasn't pushed any single core on my ryzen near 100%.. actually the only problem I have really had was not having enough ram to multitask the way I like.. once the ram was lined out I can flawlessly watch Daggerwin or Arthur or Mr SealyP on my second monitor while maintaining outstanding performance running fs19 (running 1080p)

This is what I'm currently running: Dell Desktop PC Computer Windows 10 i3 Quad 8GB RAM 320GB memory. I have tried high settings and the game will just lag no matter where I'm at on the map.
I have to run the settings low and still get some lagging when I drive around the farm with sheds and mods/implements that I have downloaded/using. When I'm out working in the fields there is no lag. I would like to get some feedback from players using PC if this would be a substantial upgrade for me so I can use higher settings? I know that I'm not seeing a lot of details in game due to low settings, and I really would like to see higher settings as to now SEASONS is out.
This is what I'm looking at: Dell Desktop Computer QUAD CORE i5 WINDOWS 10 Pro PC 8GB memory, 1TB hard drive capacity, 480GB SSD, Integrated/On-Board Graphics.
I believe that it would be better but it's always good to get more opinions or better options.
Or will it be that the pc is only running Integrated/on-board graphics and not an actual graphics card like Nvidia GT 1030 2GB DDR5 Video card?
Thank you for reading and your feedback community. :this:
