On a topic related note.

Any thought or concerns on this build and any suggestions on monitors?

I’d change out the motherboard to a MSI b450 pro-vdh max or an MSI b450m pro-m2 max.

I’d also switch the ram to a 3600 MHz ram if you can. 3200 would be okay for Ryzen but I usually suggest 3600 for Ryzen.
Swapped out Mobo as you suggested. Stuck with the 3200 ram due to Out of stock/restock issues but that can be a future upgrade if necessary.

Components have been ordered.

As for OS:

I haven’t had an issue with that site. Used it for both my own and my cousin’s PC.

thanks for the laugh. A pre built will more often than not include bits you never need, hence why people build their own, common sence really.

The ryzen 5 1600 af is essentially a 2600 but much cheaper.

At the time of ordering only the 1600X was available and that was 3x the price from my preferred retailer. However I did not do much shopping elsewhere for a 1600.

It also appears that a PSU is very hard to find these days due to back orders and insufficient stock.

I am building a PC from some parts my son has rotated out of his PC and need a video card. What is the best bang for the buck right now for something that will only be used for fs19 and internet? I don’t want to overdo it, but don’t want to be frustrated either. I am happy with performance that matches my ps4 pro.

If it figures into the calculation, I’m going to be using a ryzen5 1600 and need to buy a motherboard still.

I would go with either the RX590 or GTX 1660/GTX 1660 Ti

Either of them will range between $180-$270 with the GTX 1660 Ti being the most expensive out of them. The non Ti Edition is between $200-$250.

Make sure it's a 1600AF and not 1600AE

Is the AF/AE distinction a technical limitation or just a performance difference?

AE is the first generation 1600, AF is pretty much the equivalent of the 2600 but nearly half the price.

Haha for real. I had to sacrifice with a non modular power supply but I was grateful to get everything when I did

Yeah finding a PSU is tricky these days. The first one I ordered said it was in stock and was later cancelled by Amazon. The second one said in stock but later placed on back order so I cancelled. The final 3rd was exactly as I wanted a 550W Fully Modular from Corsair actually was in stock and has since been shipped.

All but keyboard and mouse have shipped so far and are on track to be delivered by end of next week. I can't wait. It will be so nice to be able to play without restrictions and play the way I want to play.

Helped my cousin put together his PC right after the stimulus went out for us and let’s just say it was tricky then. Had to rebuild his part list like 5 times.

Just curious but what keyboard and mouse did you go with?

Just a simple Logitech K740 and Logitech M525.

Still looking for the ideal monitor.
