Don't unzip them, just place the zip file in the MOD folder, which is:

As long as $600 isn’t a direct hard limit on it, this should perform well enough for that price range. Personally, if you could squeeze an extra $100 or so, I’d go with a 2060 over the 580 in this build.

You could also add in a hard drive for larger storage at a later time.

I'd swap the 2600 for the 1600af. Its all but the same processor at nearly half the price. That would allow the upgrade to the 2060 for about the same cost.

I'm working on building my first PC and am ready to start buying parts. I decided on an i7 for the processor. Browsing Best Buy I came across two different i7s, and was wondering which one would be more preferred, or is there is much of an impact to warrant the 60 dollar price difference

The i7-9700f doesn’t come with an integrated graphics card. Which for gaming, wouldn’t be needed anyways as nearly all integrated cards are terrible for gaming.

The upside to the i7-9700k is that you can overclock it while the 9700f you can not.

In need of a power supply to finish my build. Here's a rundown of my hardware:

NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case
Intel Core i7-9700K 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor
Asus TUF Z390-PLUS GAMING (WI-FI) ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Samsung 970 Evo 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB VENTUS XS OC Video Card
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition 42 CFM CPU Cooler

Any suggestions? I'm not too knowledgeable on what wattage or any specs like that I'd need. Any help is appreciated!

You could probably get away with a 500 w PSU though I’d probably go 650-750 myself. You’d also want to make sure that it’s at least bronze or preferably Gold certified efficiency.

The other thing is modularity. Though that’s more preference based as if it’s semi or fully modular you have more control over the cords which helps with cable management.

One more question, lol. What type of monitor would be good to get for the 1660 ti? I was looking at a 27" 144hz Acer but didn't want to overdue what the videocard can handle.

If you only play farming then I would not go with a 144 hz monitor. There may be some games that you’d be able to hit that but it likely wouldn’t be on the highest settings though.

You mean with the video card I have I wouldn't be able to hit that? I think I'm going with a 27" 75hz instead

With FS, the engine isn’t the greatest and also isn’t meant to be played above 60fps.

While the 1660 is a good card, it’s still considered an entry level card, you’ll be able to play on at least high on most games but depending on the game, might not be able to hit 144fps unless you turn some of the settings down. Even on some of the newer games out at 1080, my 2070 super will struggle to get 60 fps constantly on the highest settings.

thanks for the laugh. A pre built will more often than not include bits you never need, hence why people build their own, common sence really.

Not to mention with the least quality components maximizing seller profits.

On a topic related note.

Any thought or concerns on this build and any suggestions on monitors?

I’d change out the motherboard to a MSI b450 pro-vdh max or an MSI b450m pro-m2 max.

I’d also switch the ram to a 3600 MHz ram if you can. 3200 would be okay for Ryzen but I usually suggest 3600 for Ryzen.

Swapped out Mobo as you suggested. Stuck with the 3200 ram due to Out of stock/restock issues but that can be a future upgrade if necessary.

Components have been ordered.

As for OS:
