With the new AMD CPU/GPU and the Nvidia3070 about to drop in the next couple of weeks I would hold off making any purchases unless you really NEED to, there is likely to be a market adjustment/correction.

You also have Black Friday just around the corner too.

edit - Also, you say you won't be playing highend games but a lot of us are hoping that the reason they are delaying the next FS is that they plan to take advantage of the nextgen consoles, so the required setup may be higher than expected.

Thanks gordon861, you are right of course. Here, too, there is Black Friday, although not as much as in some other countries.

Okay, the new CPU and GPU I did not have in mind yet. Thanks for that. And yes, I still have time. I will not buy a system before November 12th (last DLC/ Premium Edition for PC). Maybe I wait for the Black Friday.

I’ve run out of room for mods on my Xbox, so looking to move to pc. The issue is, I’m an over the road truck driver, so looking for something small but powerful that I can hook to the tv in my truck and also hook to my tv when I’m home. Also something that should be able to handle the next generation of farming sim. Would this fit my needs: Intel NUC NUC8I7HNK Mini PC, Intel Quad-Core i7-8705G Upto 4.1GHz, 32GB DDR4, 2TB SSD, AMD Radeon RX Vega M GL, WiFi, Thunderbolt 3, Supports Up to 6 Displays, Windows 10 Pro (32GB RAM + 2TB SSD)?

Could spend up to $3k, not looking to build a rig. What are the best options? Thanks.

Look for somewhere selling SFF (small form factor) Pc's, doubt you would get something suitable and small enough off the shelf so to speak so may need to contact a few specialist builders.

I think that Intel NUC is nearly 3 years old so unlikely to be able to keep up. As mentioned above you'd probably be better off with a small case PC.

But, ASUS have just released a small AMD mini PC, the PN50, top spec is using an AMD Ryzen 7 4800U CPU (mobile CPU I think). I've just built a lower end version for my parents and was very impressed with the setup, but I haven't tried games. If this was sufficient for light use on the road you could build a real PC for home use with your budget.

Edit - I remembered a high spec small form factor PC that LTT did a review of a while back and thought I'd share it:

Dear co-readers and co-writers,
I would like to thank you all here for your really great and helpful comments!

I have now successfully switched my FS19 experience from the PS4 console to a PC. What a completely different world!

Nearly 10 years ago I had stopped screwing PC's myself because I regularly got discarded laptops and PCs from my company. In 2005 I also switched from Windows to Linux and, along with it, to the console (PS2 and then PS4). So I had to start from scratch again to read the state of the art and this thread here was a real goldmine!

Now my self-assembled PC runs like a greyhound and whirrs quieter than a purring kitten.
I had to choose between the magic triangle when I chose my components: budget <-> requirements FS19 <-> possible requirements FS21

Here is what I have installed (in Germany we have other prices, so ignore them please :coolnew: ):
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/J8MjHz

(If you cannot or do not want to click the link: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / ASRock B450 Pro4 / G.Skill Aegis 16 MB RAM / be!quite Shadow Rock 3 Cooler / be!quiet System Power 9 600W PSU / Crusial P1 1TB / ASRock RX 5600 XT 6GB Challenger / be!quiet Pure Base 500 Case)

Maybe this is over- or even undersized but I have air up there. RAM can be plugged in (2 banks free), graphics card, CPU, disk are more than sufficient. Let's see what FS21 requires. And if, you can extend. The board should go with it.

Now I'm standing there like a little child in a toy store just before Christmas and don't know where to start. So many possibilities.

Courseplay is a dream! AutoDrive is awesome! To be able to place things where I want them to be!

But the most important thing (for me): No SLOTS count anymore!
That was one of the most driving forces for me. If you rate buildings, vehicles or whatever only by slots and you constantly calculate if this is part of the map, which is great, but already comes with 700 or 800 slots.... I lost more and more of the fun of the game, which was not the game itself, but the console and its slot restrictions. A barrier (for me).

Anyway, a new era has begun for me, thanks to your help here.

Many thanks for that!

I see you have a Ryzen cpu. I advise you to download the chipset drivers for it from the AMD website, if you already haven't done. After that you can select the Ryzen high performance power plan.

I encountered a lot of micro stuttering in the game, after it the micro stuttering is gone and the game feels a lot smoother.

Cheers SnoopBok!
Yes, thank you for pointing that out. It is true. I could also observe this stuttering at the beginning, but I did not blame it on the drivers. Coincidentally, I just updated all drivers and also took the AMD site because my AMD software for the graphics card settings suggested so. And lo and behold, the stuttering was gone.

The PC runs like a charm since then. Even with 200 mods enabled and the highest graphics settings, I was able to run the game smoothly with all mods.

Nicely done. I always had to endure low performances. I didn't know updating drivers was an option.

Any recommendations on where to find/buy an EVGA RTX3060?
I think the fancy model name is something like XC Black Gaming.
My GTX1660ti in my HP is toast and out of warranty.

Or earlier in 2020.
Freaking COVID-19 breaking everything. Urgh!!!
It’s miserable to play FS15 on min settings and still stutter coming from max settings FS15 and max Settings FS19 with Seasons. I guess I’ll live though.
