Another decent one spec wise though it does not have any reviews on the site would be this, has the processor I'd recommend for a budget on Intel cpu, and is about $30 cheaper https://www.newegg.com/acer-nitro-50-n5 ... 6883101702

I would also first look as this link to see if you think the performance difference is worth the cost. https://www.game-debate.com/cpu/index.p ... ore-2-8ghz
I was looking at that first pc and almost pulled the trigger, but I want a score blower fit this winter instead ha. Also, going to Hawaii this year doesn't help the budget.

I am thinking to make the switch over to PC with this game to get better mods and GPS courseplay, etc. The reason I am asking if my PC will work is that I don't know what the requirements mean very well, and I don't know if adding additional mods like those mentioned above will add too much for my PC to handle. Also, I would think I could still control the game with my Xbox controller... right?
I will also go try out the link you have.

What I have: Dell Insperion Desktop
7th Generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-7400 processor (6MB Cache, up to 3.50 GHz)
Windows 10 Home (64bit) English
12GB DDR4 at 2400MHz
3.5" 1TB 7200 rpm Hard Drive
Intel HD Graphics 630 with shared graphics memory
DVDRW Optical Drive
HD Audio with Waves MaxxAudio

What's required per website:
Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 2.0 GHz Intel or equivalent AMD dual-core processor Nvidia Geforce GTS 450, AMD Radeon HD 6770 graphics card or better (min 1GB VRAM) 2 GB RAM 6 GB free hard drive space Soundcard DVD-ROM Drive (only for retail version)

You could certainly try to game on it, however, you’d likely have to play on the minimum settings and I doubt you’d get any respectable frame rate. As you are using an integrated graphics card which is generally very poor at running games.

Thanks for your reply. Based on that, which is what I was fearing, I think I would lose more than I would gain from those couple mods I want to use.
Thanks again.

Yeah, another unfortunate thing about prebuilts from Dell, HP, etc, is that they use a lot of proprietary components, which greatly limits what you can upgrade in your computer. I tried doing a bit of research on your dell insperion though I couldn't find anything concrete about it, you could try looking into adding a discrete gpu, something like a used GTX 1060, which you can find for around $100 at the moment, would certainly allow you play the game rather quite easily.

As for the one question that I forgot to answer from your initial post, you would indeed be able to play using your Xbox Controller. I myself actually use mine for this purpose though I play hybrid with controller and keyboard, though I have also added in a joystick recently.

I used a cheap prebuilt Dell and it did have properiatory things like strange PSU -> MB connectors but there were adaptor harnesses on eBay for cheap. Be sure to check the PCIe slots as they are not always full speed or wattage so may not be suitable for a graphics card. You'll have to Google the manual for whatever pc you're looking at to check. Again, availability is usually pretty good.

250gb won't last very long unless you play only 1 or 2 games.

I did say ish. I only need a pc to play one game, ATS. I have FS17 on pc but I prefer console. But yes if I were to give a real suggestion it would either add a 1tb hdd or up it to a 500 gig ssd, and 1060 or 1660 gpu. The amd apu seem to run good in the yt vids but I would still probably get a gpu as I would run on high or ultra settings.

A 1TB Samsung EVO drive is only $110 at the moment. Really good SSD. I have that in my system now and wow, what a difference! I think my old HDD was slowly on its way out.

Just purchased a EVGA RTX 2060 XC Ultra from Best Buy on sale today and it is a really good card for the money, imo. I was able to increase my fps by around 15-20, vs my RX 470. Though, I still want to upgrade my CPU since I think it is bottlenecking the GPU, which I fully knew going into the 2060.

I seen Best Buy had the i5-9600K on sale for $210. Is that a good CPU for the 2060? https://www.bestbuy.com/site/intel-core ... Id=6302020

Also, is the MSI MPG Z390 a good mobo? Best Buy has both items, and I would rather get them there than ordering them. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/msi-mpg-z3 ... Id=6305798

Edit: I should mention, when playing on vanilla maps (Ravenport, haven't tried Fellsbrun yet) with only a few scripts w/ Seasons, no mods except Claas DLC, I am getting a solid 60 on Very High. Task Manager is saying 50/50 on both CPU/GPU when on a load, mostly around 40-45%, but the CPU reads about an average of 5-10% higher. Though, on 4x maps with mods I get frame drops when I am on High. Will the new CPU fix some of that? I have about 150 mods in my mods folder, maybe that contributes to fps?

In order to see if it truly is the cpu that is bottlenecking the GPU, I would suggest using MSI Afterburner, as that will show you the temps and the usage of both the CPU and the GPU at the same time in game. Definitely more preferable than looking at the values on the task manager.

I myself run an i5-8600k on a system with a 2070 Super. So far I have yet to see any game where the CPU is a bottleneck, so the processor you're looking at should be more than adequate for the 2060.

As for the motherboard, I also run a similar motherboard, as in the MSI Gaming Plus series, however, mine is only the Z370 rather than Z390, due to my processor being a generation older. So far I have yet to run into any sort of issue with it. On Newegg, the Z390 Gaming Plus seems to have a pretty high rating so I would say it should be good.

As far as your question about frame drops, this can depend on numerous things. It very well could be a CPU bottleneck. That is just as likely that it could be a RAM bottleneck. As far as being a GPU bottleneck I would doubt that. Another possibility is that FS 19 really isn't all that optimized which can also easily lead to dropping frames.

Thank you for your reply!

I used MSI Afterburner and my results are (Using County Line 4x map):
GPU: avg. 55%; 55c-60c
CPU: avg. 47%; 40c
RAM usage: 6gb

But sometimes they are neck and neck.

I just bought new 2x8gb Corsair Vengeance RAM sticks that are 3.0ghz, but I can only use 2133mhz, when I try to make it go up to 3.0 in the bios (turning on XMP), it had a boot failure message so I had to turn the XMP off.

It seems to just be at the farm where there are a lot of items/placeables is where I get a 5-10 fps drop. Everywhere else seems to be a solid 60.

You're certainly not bottlenecked by any means then. As bottlenecking would be something like the following; CPU Usage at 100% while GPU usage is only at 60% or vice versa. So I'd just chalk it up to FS19 not being all that well optimized.

Ah, I see... Would the i5-9600K make much of a difference over my i5-6500? I know it is newer, has 2 more cores, and it is .5ghz more power. Just not sure if I want to dump $210 on a new CPU and have it not be any better than what I got. If it is way better than what I got, then I would consider getting it.

I did test the new GPU on Fellsbrunn and it I get a 1-2 fps drop with only a combine, 2 articulated tractors, planter, and a few placeables with chickens. Does the CPU aid in that type of stuff?
