Hi i'm having some issues with not being able to ride horses. This has been happening since patch 1.2 and the latest patches haven't helped. I've tried everything. Restart game, console, big pen, small pen, the modhub pen (klein preferwede?), delivered the horses myself (vice versa), different horses etc. Does anyone have a solution? Or been having these problems? Because i'm getting fed up with buying a horse for 5 grand and then they are worth like 500 bucks cause I can't ride them. And yes I am pressing x. Btw xbox one is the platform. Thanks

Nope hasn't worked. Wondering if I should just give up on horses until FS21 is released, cause I haven't got any more tricks in the book to try and solve this

You said you tried everything but have you tried without any mods enabled to rule out a mod that is causing conflict? With being on console it wouldn't seem likely but nevertheless it's still a possibility.

What map do you have problem on?

Yes I have and none have caused the problem. Neither has having no mods at all

It happens on all maps

On Windows with Steam we got a option to validate the files of a game, not sure if your console has a similar feature. If it has try that, otherwise try uninstalling and reinstalling the game,the chances are low, but sometimes there are corrupted files which can mess something up.
Another point you didn't mention so far is the help window in the top left. Whats in there, when you stand next to a horse? Does is show the key to ride or not?

It shows the button "x" ride horse. At the start of the game I could press it and it worked but after patch 1.2 and so on it will not let me ride them. Anyway thanks for the help

Hmmm, that's weird can't find any similar issues myself, horses work fine on my Xbox version 1.4

Sometimes if horses are moving around it can be difficult to get the "ride" function to appear

It definetly shows, just doesn't work at all

It's definitely weird. Something I would probably try would be to uninstall the game, power cycle the Xbox, then reinstall the game, though you may need to reinstall any mods but you'll still have your game saves since they sync to the cloud.
