Seasons, soil temperature, and germination

Post by theMavric »

How loose is Seasons when it comes to soil temperature? For example, if wheat and barley both require 41F to germinate, but the soil temp is 39F, will it prevent it from growing completely?

My apologies if this has been answered a million times. I tried to avoid reading all the speculation and most likely missed a bunch of important stuff from the actual creators by doing so.

Too low is too low...It will not germinate if temperature is under the required minimum.

Seasons - Testing snow ingame?

Post by spec10 »

I'm trying to test how the snow looks ingame. The manual states:
The masks can be tested in-game by dropping snow using the rmAddSnow 1 console command. Use rmResetSnow to remove all snow and start over.
However either I am misunderstanding something, or those commands didn't make it into the release version. Is there another way to force snow generation?

You can tab thru the various commands, the one you are looking for does not come up. There is a AddWeatherEvent

yep, I found that one but I can't figure out how to use it or rather what the parameters it shows actually do. It did do something when I ran AddWeatherEvent snow 1 but I'm not sure what it did.

That one's not recognized.

You need to enable cheats in the game using the -cheats switch. Add it to your farming simulator shortcut.

As I read grass produce rots as is wet, as IRL, I would prefer to work with hay, silage, straw or tmr and let animals graze on grass

Seasons and LS-modcompany mods

Post by juf.de »

I'm curious if the Animal Pen Extension and Animal Screen Extended mods are compatible, as long as i do not use chicken in any way, can someone shed some light on it?

I know mods chaning animal are confilct ridden but those two are as far as i can tell some kind of borderline mods regarding animals.

Yeah, but the question is, where to get grass at winter?
