If it where me I'd reinstall the map, and if that didn't work reinstall FS19, see how that works.Greymantle1 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 8:04 pm One thing is for sure it has something to do with the transition at midnight that creates the issue. I would have thought the log file would have given you the answer for I see errors being thrown out by seasons. Oh well will live with growth control at least I get the longer growing cycle.

If it was 46% then it would still be an icon. Maybe it was soil moisture? Yield depends on crop rotation. What factor did you have? Perfect rotation give you +1 fert and 120% yield (factor 1.20)Drmattymd wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2019 10:55 pm Question about moisture.. as long as the "wet crop" icon is not displayed then it is ok to harvest regardless of moisture? Or does moisture have an effect on resulting yield? I thought I read somewhere that it did but after looking back through the manual and blogs I couldnt find anything about that. I started harvesting corn right after the wet crop symbol went away and it just didnt seem to yield like I thought it should so I checked the moisture and it was still 46%. I know moisture matters when mowing grass.

Crop rotation is the practice of growing different crops in succession that are beneficial to each other. Successful forward planning and execution of your rotations will bring increased yields and reduce the need to fertilize. A yield effect of 120% of vanilla is possible by using the most beneficial rotations and crops.
Crops are divided into crop categories and have dependencies that determine whether a preceding crop category is favourable, neutral or unfavourable for yield. Some crops are more suitable to grow several years in succession, while others require more variation.
It is also possible to leave a field to rest and restore for a year (in the mod this is termed keeping it fallow). Most common crop rotations should be possible to simulate, including the effects of double cropping.
In the field info HUD you will see the crop categories of the two previously planted crops. Together with a rotation planner this will be an important tool for planning the next crop to plant

Crop moisture does not affect yield.

Seasons and Weeds
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, I didn't want this to get lost in one of the big 'seasons' discussions.
So after a few years on Oakfield with Seasons mod, I still do not understand the weed system. Some fields get next to no weeds all year while some get absolutely swamped. There have been a few times where sleeping through the night results in a field full of full grown weeds when it was empty before, and past a certain growth stage the weeder no longer works and weeds begin to accumulate but never fully grow again.
Am I missing something here? how is the weed system supposed to work? I've just been spending summers doing contract work and chasing every little patch with a dinky lil' weeder every evening but that feels both inefficient and annoying after a while.
How do y'all deal with weeds with Seasons? Is there any way to farm without the use of herbicides efficiently?

The weeds in seasons are created in random spots.

Hi!
Is snow not melting a known issue? It's middle of summer already, temps over 10 degrees for a few days now but snow is still everywhere.

Animal gender question ...
There are (M)ale and (F)emale animals ...
For pigs there are 4 type of breeds to select from ... but there is not a F and M for the same breed !?
If I only buy one type ... will it not reproduce?

I don't think it really matters, my male cows (bullocks) have udders (when i first looked thought they where just well hung ) but are able to breed. So shouldn't be any different for the pigs.
Re: Seasons and Weeds
Biologists have spent the last few centuries trying to understand weeds and you expect a bunch of hoody wearing (but admittedly talented) computer geeks to fix nature?makefs19greatagain wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 3:38 am Apologies if this is the wrong place to post this, I didn't want this to get lost in one of the big 'seasons' discussions.

When is the "Always Summer" GEO being released? Oh, base game. I'll get my coat...
Re: Seasons and Weeds
Whoa you underestimate Realismus, they'd show them nerd biologist how to tackle weeds, they went all gender equal and gave male animals a chance to experience birthing.

Re: Seasons and Weeds
Can I just clarify; you're saying that gender of an animal makes no difference as to breeding chance? E.g. I could have several dozen male pigs and they'd still "reproduce"?
Also, more general (but related) question to devs/everyone; does the animal dealer sell ALL the available animal/gender combinations at any one time, or (since there, for example, seem to be no male Yorkshire pigs for me at the moment), should I be checking the dealer every few hours or days to get the combos I want?
Re: Seasons mod (op updated re: bug reports)
I’ve never seen an animal dealer out of stock, so I think they have all animals, all the time

Re: Seasons and Weeds
I don't think the male animals reproduce as it doesn't say anything about being fertile. Where as the female cows it says not fertile. I had few bullocks in with my diary cows, so it looks like you have too buy beef cattle from the market, and sell when fatten up as should be. Ah one of them day's.Papa BullDust wrote: ↑Sat Aug 10, 2019 3:24 pmCan I just clarify; you're saying that gender of an animal makes no difference as to breeding chance? E.g.
